Casa Joana Coll Portabella

Designed by Eduard Ferrés Puig in 1912, this building is distinguished by its prominent bay windows — glazed on the lower two levels and open on columns on the two above. Here Ferrés set aside the vegetal ornament and medieval references typical of Catalan Modernisme in favour of a more angular, geometric composition with a Central European flavour.
