Chapel of Saint Lucy

Built between 1257 and 1268, during the episcopate of Arnau Gurb, the Chapel of Saint Lucy is a fine example of late Romanesque architecture, integrated into the cloister of Barcelona Cathedral, with access from both the street and the cloister. With a rectangular floor plan and pointed barrel vault, it stands out for its portal decorated with geometric motifs, animals, and biblical scenes, as well as its small bell gable. On the façade facing Bisbe Street remains an old doorway adorned with a sculpted Agnus Dei. Inside lie the tombs of Bishop Arnau Gurb and Canon Francesc de Santa Coloma (14th century), whose grave is decorated with a stone Calvary against a blue glass background.
