Sculpture Pescador

Created in 1928 by Josep Tenas Alivés, this bronze sculpture pays tribute to fishing, a traditional activity alongside agriculture and livestock already represented in Plaça de Catalunya. It depicts a young, almost nude fisherman, carrying a stretcher full of fish, with a dolphin at his feet. Its style, both elegant, delicate, and robust, perfectly reflects Tenas’s artistic sensibility within the noucentista movement.
