Inaugurated in 1999 and designed by architect Rafael Moneo, L’Auditori is today one of Europe’s leading music centers. With more than 500 concerts a year, it hosts every style: classical, contemporary, jazz, modern, vocal, and early music. It is home to the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC), the Municipal Band, and also houses the Higher School of Music of Catalonia as well as the Museum of Music. Its four concert halls range from the large Pau Casals Hall (2,200 seats) to more intimate spaces. L’Auditori stands out for its innovation, pioneering educational projects, and social commitment, especially through the Apropa Cultura program, which makes music accessible to disadvantaged audiences. It is also a member of the European Concert Halls Organization (ECHO), alongside the most prestigious venues in Europe. A true cultural hub, L’Auditori combines tradition and modernity, serving as a meeting point for leading international artists and playing a key role in Barcelona’s musical life.
