Monumental Arena

Inaugurated in 1914 as El Sport and renamed La Monumental in 1916, this arena, built in modernist and neo-Mudejar style, is one of Barcelona’s iconic landmarks. Initially dedicated to bullfighting, it later became a stage for legendary concerts – from the Beatles to the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen – as well as circuses, sporting events, and cultural or political gatherings.
