Built in 1852 by architect Francesc Vila — the same man who designed the celebrated Porxos d'en Xifre facing the Barceloneta — this corner house conceals a remarkable decorative detail requiring a careful eye. The facade divides into two registers: below, the ground floor and mezzanine are unified under large semicircular arches finished in artificial stone with horizontal jointing imitating stone blocks. Above, four storeys decorated with sgraffito panels — a technique where patterns are carved into fresh plaster — display a careful hierarchy whose ornamentation diminishes as you ascend. The detail that catches every eye is found among these ornaments: a terracotta relief depicting a winged dancer with floral decoration, a romantic and almost naive element, listed as a local heritage site.
