House at Carrer Flassaders, 23

Probably built in the 16th or 17th century, this building on Carrer Flassaders underwent documented alterations in the 19th century before being restored in more recent times. Its ground floor features several openings, some with straight lintels and others with basket-arch profiles, all framed in carefully cut ashlar stone. The rectangular doorway, likely a later addition, has a moulded lintel and jambs. The most remarkable detail is found on the first floor: two carved masks decorate the ends of a window lintel, precious survivals of medieval popular decorative art in one of El Born's most authentic corners.
