Reconfigured around 1915 and subsequently restored, this corner building owes its distinctive character to the vivid red floral sgraffiti covering the upper part of its façade. The dense, repetitive rows of deep-red roses are paired with ornamental frieze bands that punctuate the lower floors at floor level. This decoration — both surprising and captivating — has inspired contemporary design objects, proof of its timeless modernity. The corner balconies also receive original treatment, making this one of the most unusual buildings in El Born's medieval streetscape.
