La Lectura. A Pompeu Fabra is a public sculpture located in the Salvador Espriu Gardens in Barcelona. Created in 1993 by Anna Ribas Seix, it is a replica of the original 1948 relief by sculptor Josep Clarà. The artwork depicts a young woman reading, resting on one hand with a book on her lap — a scene filled with calm and contemplation. It was inaugurated to mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of Pompeu Fabra, a linguist and key figure in the Catalan language.
