Temps Vertader (Sundial)

Installed in 2018 at Rosa dels Vents Square, this modern sundial was created by Rafael Soler. Carved from calcarenite stone and oriented to the south, it precisely marks the time using a clever shadow system. Beyond hours and half-hours, it also displays zodiac signs and solar positions. Both a scientific instrument and an artistic landmark, it blends seamlessly into Barcelona’s maritime landscape.
