Mammoth

The Mammoth of the Ciutadella Park, created by Miquel Dalmau and inaugurated in 1907, is a full-scale reinforced concrete reproduction of a proboscidean, a precursor of today’s elephants. Commissioned by the Junta de Ciencias Naturales of Barcelona, it was part of a project to recreate prehistoric animals in the park.
